Credit Card Registration Problems

The credit card system that I'm using has proven itself to be very reliable and many supporters of my products have used it to register. It's fast, easy, and very efficient. However, the Internet is an ever-changing medium and occasionally someone will experience a problem, such as a timeout.

The online system is fully automated and it uses a secure web server, which is absolutely the safest and most reliable way to handle a credit card transaction on the net.

If you have any question whether your transaction was correctly processed, then email me at smbaker@sb-software.com.The credit card processing system automatically sends me a notification immediately after a transaction succeeds, so I will be able to confirm whether or not your transaction succeeded.

If you should be unable to use the automated credit card system for some reason, then there are several other options available to you for credit card payment:

• Sometimes the credit card processor will get backlogged during peak hours (Saturdays and Holidays are a good example). In this case, you'll probably get timeout messages and the like. You might want to just wait a few hours until a non-peak time and try again. Please try not to get frustrated; If all else fails you can try to use one of the methods below to send your credit card information to me and I can manually process it.
• You may leave me a voice message or fax on my fax answering machine at 520-797-8325. If you do leave your information, please make sure to speak (or write if sending fax) your information very clearly! I will need the following: Card Type (Visa/MC), Card Number, Expiration Date, Billing name on card, street address, Zip Code, and (most importantly) your email address. Please S P E L L anything that I might be difficult for me to spell or read from your message.
  
  Please use this line only for credit card orders and/or reporting credit card problems. This number leads to an answering machine only and I do not answer this phone line. If you need technical support, then please do it via email, not over the phone. It's much easier for me to get a clear understanding of a technical support problem via email, where I can sit down and read it carefully rather than trying to understand a frantic phone call.
  
  In any event, leave your EMAIL address on the answering machine (or fax) in some manner. I will respond to you via your email address.
• You can always mail (i.e. via Postal Service, not email) your credit card information to me. Of course, if you're doing this, you might as well send a check. It's up to you. Mail is how I've traditionally processed registrations in the past, and it's always been successful. My mail address is:

• You can email me your credit card information. Please note that email is NOT SECURE, and you will be assuming any risks of a third party "eavesdropping" and learning your credit card information. I repeat, email is a NONSECURE medium, and you should always think twice before sending ANYTHING via email that must be kept 100% private. For these reasons, I do NOT recommend sending credit card information via email.
